PAUL GENERALE — RESPECTED TEXAS HEALTHCARE EXECUTIVE

Over the course of his career as a senior executive with CHRISTUS Health, a multi-state healthcare system that operates with a focus on Catholic traditions and values, Paul Generale has gained extensive experience with large-scale healthcare administration and the management of multimillion-dollar operating budgets. Based in the Dallas, Texas, area, Paul Generale currently serves as the healthcare system’s executive vice president and chief strategy and network officer.

Initially, Mr. Generale joined CHRISTUS Health as a project manager with CHRISTUS St. John Hospital in Houston. Following roles as a senior financial analyst and director of finance, he assumed the position of chief operating officer and financial officer. Subsequently, he served as an executive with the CHRISTUS Health Information Technology Center in Dallas before becoming a regional chief financial officer and vice president with CHRISTUS St. Vincent Regional Medical Center in New Mexico. Following this role, he became a senior vice president of financial operations and ambulatory services with CHRISTUS Health in the Dallas area.

Mr. Generale has been recognized by Becker’s Hospital Review as a top health system CFO and is frequently asked to share his expertise. He facilitated a strategy presentation for master’s-level students at the University of Miami.

In addition, Mr. Generale has held board positions at Houston Methodist St. John Hospital and the Baptist Saint Anthony Health System in Texas. A member of the Health Care Financial Management Association, he is a fellow of the American College of Health Care Executives.
